A wave of deportation raids is breaking over Los Angeles and Southern California. Immigration officials are doing the best they can with the limited resources they have to work with. They’re not happy to admit that they’re lagging way behind on their target quotas. Hopefully, Congress will soon break loose the funding they need.
It would also be helpful to get the leaks plugged. They don’t seem to be coming from the federal level, rather they’re coming from further down the food chain when disloyal staffers with local law enforcement learn of pending ICE operations
Insiders relate to the press that this fresh effort in the liberal sanctuary of Southern California “follows recent operations ordered by the Trump administration to apprehend individuals unlawfully residing in places such as Chicago and New York.” They had big problems with leaks in those cities, too.
Rabidly progressive lawmaker Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may have crossed the line with her advice on evading ICE raids. Border Czar Homan asked the DOJ for an opinion on exactly where the line is painted to see if she crossed it or not.
Social media is abuzz with video shot by “community activists” that seems to show “federal agents gathered outside one residence east of downtown Los Angeles.”
The liberals had a megaphone and were warning the residents not to answer the door unless they saw a warrant. That really is their right. Agents conducting the raids may just have the warrant required. Homan is targeting specific violent criminals. Warrant or not, they’ll need to leave the home sooner or later.

That particular incident continued for around 20 minutes before ICE packed up and pulled out, looking for the next name on their list. Information about the raids is being kept quiet for security reasons.
At this time, it’s not clear “how many individuals have been detained.” We should be getting some statistics in a day or so.
CNN was ready for the raids long before they started happening. They got a call from their sources days earlier warning of “enforcement actions to detain and deport individuals in the Los Angeles area.”
That gave plenty of time for “about 150 activists from the Community Self Defense Coalition” to form patrols. They’ve been roaming the LA area all weekend looking for signs of law enforcement.
Border Czar Tom Homan isn’t happy with the numbers so far. He’s vowed not to rest until “we eradicate” every criminal migrant. “Last count we got almost 600,000 illegal aliens in the United States with a criminal conviction, so I won’t be happy until we eradicate every one of those,” he declared recently.
They’ll be conducting a lot of raids, whether the bad guys know they’re coming or not. “I’m not happy with the numbers because we got a lot of criminals to find.“
