Zelenskyy Suddenly Realizes Mineral Deal an Offer He Can’t Refuse

After nearly 24 hours of negotiations, Ukraine’s president appears ready to seal a deal. Since Zelenskyy’s treasury can’t trace the foreign aid cash we gave them, Trump’s demanding it back in the form of rare minerals. It’s “an offer they can’t refuse.

Mineral deal close

At the time of this writing, on the afternoon of February 21, the deal is close but hasn’t been inked yet. Everyone involved is confident it will be signed soon because it’s clearly “an offer he can’t refuse.

Zelenskyy doesn’t want to wake up in bed with the head of a race horse, figuratively speaking. The real consequence would be having Trump throw him and his struggling nation to the Russian wolves.

As left-leaning Axios reports, “U.S. and Ukrainian officials negotiated all night into Friday morning in an attempt to conclude a minerals deal and halt the deterioration in relations.

What that really means is that U.S. special envoy Keith Kellogg verbally abused and browbeat them into submission.

By refusing to play ball and cough up his minerals Zelenskyy sparked “a wider crisis in relations.” The White House is not happy that the deal hasn’t been done yet.

It’s now up to Zelenskyy,” the leaking source informed the press. It’s clear to everyone involved in the talks that the “crisis will deepen if he rejects the offer.

Make or break for Ukraine

If Volodymyr Zelenskyy were such a great leader, he would have ended his own war long ago. Or, better yet, avoided it completely. Now that he’s up against the ropes he’s begging Uncle Sam to save his bacon. NATO can’t figure out how to have any influence on what happens at all. They’ve been pushed aside and frozen out.

That’s why the peace deal is being negotiated in Saudi Arabia. It’s clear that Donald Trump is after much bigger game than a simple end to the war in Eastern Europe. More like world domination.

White House national security adviser Mike Waltz informed the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday that “President Zelensky is going to sign that deal and you will see it in the very short term.

It’s now up to Zelenskyy.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent demanded “50% of all revenues from the mining project” and Zelenskyy got sticker shock.

What bothered him the most was “the fact that it offered no security guarantees for Ukraine.” At this point, he’s not entitled to an opinion and any deal Trump makes to end the war is better than any he could expect on his own.

After Secretary Bessent gave the president a jingle, he came back with some authority to sweeten the deal. Nobody says what improved but they’re clearly saying it’s not going to get any sweeter so better be signed before it spoils.
