BUT
YOU CAN HELP!

Noa
is a very special 12 year old girl, fighting brain cancer for two years now. In
our first campaign, many of you helped save her life with your partnership in
her Keytruda medication. After nine brain surgeries and countless rounds of
chemotherapy, it was the only alternative left. Due to the many generous donors,
Noa has successfully finished her first round and thank G-d, and against all
odds, she will be celebrating her Bat Mitzva in one week.
She is doing
incredibly well after nine surgeries and many treatments of chemotherapy,
rediation and her first round of Keytruda. Her mother is single and they have
succumbed to large debts to pay for other treatments not covered by insurance.
Still, Noa remains optimistic. After speaking with her specialist, Dr. Yoram
Neumann, chief pediatric oncologist at Tel Hashomer Hospital, her hope lies in the Keytruda medication to
strengthen her immune system and fight off the cancer.
The therapy
consist of 2-4 phases of treatment and once the patient reaches 50kg, an extra
dosage is required. Keytruda is not covered by the Israel Department of Health
Insurance. Each dosage of the medication, after reduced cost from Merk
Pharmaceutical, is $2,300. She now needs an
extra dosage, totaling $6,900 every 3 weeks
that will last 10 treatments.
