Rabbi Abraham Ibn Ezra writes that this psalm was composed after it was
told that Solomon, not David, would build the Temple of God in
Jerusalem. King David points out that it is the hand of God that determines
everything, and man's toil is in vain if God does not will his work to prosper.
Looking at the flourishing State of Israel it is not hard to see God's 'stamp
of approval' in the blooming hills and grandeur of the built up cities,
neighborhoods and industry. The current BDS movement flies in the face of the
God given prosperity that Israeli companies enjoy, for doesn't the psalmist tell
us that if God did not will it, they would not succeed? Say no to BDS, and side
with the Land of Israel that God has helped endure, grow and prosper.
