The words of Koheleth, the son of David,
king in Jerusalem.

Jerusalem Inspiration

'Koheleth' is the title given to King Solomon, who, although reigning over all of Israel, is called here, the “king in Jerusalem”. Jerusalem was known as a city of wisdom, a place that lent itself to understanding, as well as home to many sages. King Solomon wanted to add validity to his work by emphasizing that the observations made in his book were analyzed and approved by the wise residents of Jerusalem. In the modern era, Jerusalem is still a locus of wisdom in the heart of the holy land.  Straight from the holy land, The Israel Bible has gathered insights on the Bible that all pertain to the Land of Israel in a neat, accessible compendium. Our new website makes delving into The Israel Bible even easier! Sign up for any reading plan and get our FREE ebook.

Today's Reality

Jerusalem Daily Photo

The peaceful, glowing, town of Har Adar by Elad Matityahu.  Har Adar was named Radar Hill  for the World War II British military installation there which had an anti-air radar for the protection of Jerusalem. It is located just 15 km west of Jerusalem, and was given its Hebrew name when founded in 1982, to mimic the sound of radar hill.
