Spain: Muslim migrant drives car onto busy sidewalk, injuring four, cops rule out terrorism
It couldn’t be terrorism because, you see, he was drunk. Very well, but is that really a necessarily valid conclusion? What if he was drunk to give himself the courage to wage jihad for the sake of Allah? Yes, alcohol is forbidden in Islam, but Islam also works on the basis of a simple good deeds/bad deeds comparison: if your good deeds outweigh your bad deeds, you go to Paradise. If your bad deeds outweigh your good deeds, you go to hell. So this fellow may have thought that whatever weight he was adding to his bad deed scale by drinking would be outweighed by his killing a few Infidels.
In any case, maybe this is just a case of drunk driving. Or maybe it has something to do with these facts. Since authorities are seldom fully honest or forthcoming about these cases, we can never know for sure. Last June, the Islamic State published a poster depicting an SUV driving over a heap of skulls and bearing the legend “Run Over Them Without Mercy.”
And the Islamic State issued this call in September 2014:

If you can kill a disbelieving American or European — especially the spiteful and filthy French — or an Australian, or a Canadian, or any other disbeliever from the disbelievers waging war, including the citizens of the countries that entered into a coalition against the Islamic State, then rely upon Allah, and kill him in any manner or way however it may be….If you are not able to find an IED or a bullet, then single out the disbelieving American, Frenchman, or any of their allies. Smash his head with a rock, or slaughter him with a knife, or run him over with your car, or throw him down from a high place, or choke him, or poison him….

FOUR people have been injured after being forced to dive for cover when a Moroccan man mounted the pavement in his car and came close to running them over.Several other people had to run for their lives during the terrifying incident in Alaquas near Valencia, which sparked initial fears it was a terror attack.Police ruled out any links to terrorism today as they revealed the driver was drunk at the time.The unnamed 40-year-old has been remanded in custody by a judge following a private court hearing in Torrent near Alaquas.Local reports said he had consumed so much alcohol he couldn’t stand up and wasn’t able to be breathalysed at the scene.The casualties, who were aged between 48 and 60 and suffered only light injuries, are now said to be doing okay.The incident happened on Saturday near a packed park called Parc de la Sequieta running along a street called Carrer Lanjaron….
