Media Dreams Crushed: Oprah Says No to 2020

Now back to old white men… Kerry, Biden?

Despite the media’s best efforts to make their agenda-driven dreams come true, Oprah Winfrey won’t be a candidate in 2020.
During an interview with InStyle magazine, the media mogul said she isn’t cut out to be president:
“I’ve always felt very secure and confident with myself in knowing what I could do and what I could not. And so it’s not something that interests me. I don’t have the DNA for it.”
All it took was Oprah’s viral anti-Trump speech at the Golden Globes to cause the media to salivate over the potential takedown of the Orange Monster in the White House by a black woman. But it appears they wanted it more than Winfrey did herself. Conservative writer Stephen Miller nails it in this tweet:
Oprah added in the InStyle interview:
“I actually saw a mug the other day… I thought it was a cute mug. All you need is a mug and some campaign literature and a T-shirt. Gayle — who knows me as well as I know myself practically — has been calling me regularly and texting me things, like a woman in the airport saying, 'When’s Oprah going to run?' So Gayle sends me these things, and then she’ll go, ‘I know, I know, I know! It wouldn’t be good for you — it would be good for everyone else.’ I met with someone the other day who said that they would help me with a campaign. That’s not for me.”
Well, the good news for Democrats is that there are some really old white men to bring some fresh eyes to the party… not.
Joe Biden has hinted at running and now John Kerry is sniffing around the idea, according to The Jerusalem Post:
[Kerry] surprised his interlocutor by saying he was seriously considering running for president in 2020. When asked about his advanced age, he said he was not much older than Trump and would not have an age problem.
The Democrats really know how to bring their elderly to the table. The party of hope and change, huh?
