HOUSE PASSES BILL TO PROTECT GAS CARS The House on Thursday passed a bill that would stop states such as California from adopting “green” policies that restrict the sale and use of gas vehicles. H.R. 1435, also known as the Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act, passed by a near-party-line vote of 222-190. It now goes to the Democratic-controlled Senate, where it is not expected to succeed. READ |

TUBERVILLE BLASTS SCHUMER OVER ABORTION POLICY Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-AL, called out Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-NY, this week, accusing him of playing politics over a controversial pro-abortion Department of Defense policy rather than truly looking out for the well-being of the military. Schumer had boasted of confirming judicial nominees, but has refused to bring military nominees up for votes. REUTERS: BIDEN REELECTION IN JEOPARDY “U.S. President Joe Biden's chances of re-election are being jeopardized by voters' concerns over his age, the economy and crime,” Reuters reports. According to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll, Biden and former President Donald Trump are currently tied in a hypothetical 2024 match. TEACHERS UNION HEAD COMPARES PARENTS TO SEGREGATIONISTS Longtime teachers union boss Randi Weingarten attacked parents who seek an increased role in their children’s education by citing a widely discredited far-left group that listed a parental rights group with the Ku Klux Klan (KKK). “I was talking to the Southern Poverty Law Center, and they showed me the same words, ‘choice,’ ‘parental rights,’ and an attempt to divide parents versus teachers,” Weingarten said. “[At] that point, it was white parents versus other parents.” READ |

NEBRASKA HEALTHCARE INSTITUTIONS SUED A woman is suing a Nebraska hospital for “negligence and lack of informed consent” five years after doctors there performed a double mastectomy on her as a teen. “When Luka was just 16 years old, her breasts were surgically amputated as the first step in her ‘gender affirming care’ with the Defendants.
