WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 McCARTHY ANNOUNCES BIDEN IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY  House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-CA, said Tuesday that House Republicans have "uncovered serious and credible allegations into President Biden's conduct" that will serve as the basis of an impeachment inquiry. "Today, I am directing our House committees to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe," McCarthy announced.  READ LAWMAKERS CONFRONT FBI OVER ANTI-CATHOLIC MEMO Eight members of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence publicized a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray demanding an explanation for the “Richmond memo,” which instructed field officers to target so-called “radical traditional Catholics.” The letter gives Wray until September 29 to report the steps he has taken to ensure unconstitutional processes like the memo will never happen again. READ JOURNALIST FACT-CHECKS MAYOR ADAMS  Shortly after Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams complained he could not handle 10,000 migrants a month, a reporter showed him that the situation is much worse at the southern border. “Border Patrol's Tucson, AZ sector just had almost 11,000 in one *week*,” tweeted FOX correspondent Bill Melugin. “And that's just one of nine sectors along the southern border. New Mexico’s gun ban has been widely decried as patently unconstitutional, including by left-wing figures and gun-control advocates.  READ MAN SENTENCED AFTER KILLING BOY HE THOUGHT WAS ‘EXTREMIST’  Shannon Brandt was sentenced to five years in prison last week for running over and killing 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson last September. Brandt pleaded guilty to manslaughter. The case gained national attention when it was discovered that Brandt said during a 9-11 call that he thought the victim was with an “extremist Republican group.”  READ X SUES CALIFORNIA OVER CENSORSHIP LAW  Elon Musk’s X-Corp asked a California court on Friday to overturn a first-of-its-kind online content moderation law, arguing the measure pressures social media platforms to censor discourse viewed as problematic by state officials.
