CHINESE AUTHORITIES PUNISH PRIEST A Catholic priest in China was convicted of “fraud” and “impersonating religious personnel” this month after he refused to register with the state-sanctioned Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association. The court-imposed administrative penalties on Fr.
