The sickening spectacle that is the Great Falling Away

That is absolutely false, and it is one of the platform tenants of Chrislam. The Koran clearly teaches that Allah HAS NO SON, and for that reason alone Allah cannot be the God of the Bible because both the Old and New Testaments declare that God has a son.While writing another article regarding the relationship between the Vatican and Islam, I came across a list of signatories of a letter written by Yale Religious Studies to Muslim clerics. The letter was in response to one written by 138 Muslim clerics, and addressed to Pope Benedict XVI before he stepped down from his position. The imams who wrote the original letter, were upset at statements made by the Pope in a speech he gave at a university. He had disparaged Islam.
There were hundreds of signatories attached to the Yale response, so I saved the list as a PDF in order to search for names and denominations and colleges. I was not surprised when I saw Rick Warren’s signature. The list was filled with mainstream churches who teach heresy. Catholic, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Methodist, Church of Christ, Episcopalian where among the churches represented.

I found the website of this church and I left a message with Pastor Somerville. He called me back and I told him that I had found his signature on the Yale document. His tone changed, and I realized that this man was not happy about my call. I asked him if he thought that the God of the Bible was the same as Allah. He told me unapologetically, that he believes and teaches that they are one and the same; that the Muslims simply see him through the lens of the Qur’an.
I began to attempt to show him that our God and Allah are NOT the same. I had Scripture ready and verses from the Qur’an which clearly showed that God and Allah are two separate entities. The pastor became enraged, and told me not to lecture him! I asked one more time if he would allow me to share Scripture. That made him angrier and he was raising his voice in a rage. I then told him that I could not stay on the phone with him if he was going to yell. I said “God bless you” and I hung up.
I found Jim Somerville’s Facebook page and began to look at his posts. In one post, he shared with his friends that he was part of a network of pastors who had put together a website for sermons – mainly for shut-ins and people who did not have a church home. It is called “asermonforeverysunday.com”.
I clicked the link and saw Pastor Somerville’s picture along with thirteen other pastors. He was the only Baptist pastor listed. Brian McLaren – leader of the Emergent church movement, was one listed. The rest were from other Emergent churches, Presbyterian, Methodist, Lutheran, Catholic, Episcopalian, etc.I have prayed so much for this man to be exposed to his congregation. Perhaps there are some in his church who are like minded. But I have a feeling that most of the people are unaware that their pastor is so far away, theologically, from Baptist churches who are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention.
I was told by a member of the SBC that each Baptist church is autonomous. He also said that if a church is known to be deviating from Baptist doctrine, then the SBC can choose to no longer list them as a member.

@John: Naturally, as none are spared tribulation, only wrath, but tribulation isn’t wrath. Also tribulation is upon the saints not the world, wrath is upon the world. Also tribulation can’t begin until abomination of desolation event in third temple, and is only 3.5 years long. For certain, the rapture occurs at the end of tribulation, just before the end of the world period begins.

Geri, I have never read one of your articles, but your words have strength because of “THE WORD” Jehoshua Christ Jesus is the “WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE”. What is being displayed in the synagogues of Satan is an abomination to our Lord God Almighty and we are to turn from it. It is this very turning away that will cause the demise of his very elect. When you do not accept their “ONE WORLD RELIGION” you will be labeled a radical terrorist and in fact, you will be convicted of the same violations of the laws our Lord Yeshua was convicted of. And by the same bloodlines. Matthew chapter 5 clearly states Yeshua came to fulfill the law, and he did! Ephesians chapter 2 says that Yeshua abolished the law of ordinances. That’s man’s law, more precisely the law of the Talmud or of Satan. The Talmud is the Satanic version of the Torah. It is these laws that convicted Jehoshua. If people would do the research they would find these same laws have been adopted in 1991 by the 102nd congress of the United States of America. Public Law 102-14 declares that the “NOAHIDE LAWS” dubbed “EDUCATION DAY” are the very laws that the UNITED NATIONS Has adopted as “INTERNATIONAL LAW”. These are the same laws adopted by Judaism, and strangely enough, very close to Islamic Law. GET THE PICTURE? These are the law that Jehoshua paid in full, that we no longer are guilty under such laws! Yet the penalty for breaking one of these laws? There are Christians in the middle east who say “Allah” when referencing The GOD of the Bible.
But with that being said, Islam and Christianity do NOT worship the same GOD. But it is not the “Name” that differentiates the difference between the GOD of Christianity and Islam — Instead it is the attributes.

What is certain is that the RCC has embraced it for well over a thousand years:

All you Baptists/Methodists/Adventists/Lutherans et al who proclaim yourselves “Protestants” yet so unquestioningly accept the “central doctrine” of Catholicism may need to get back to basics before you concern yourselves with things such as the Rapture…
Although the end of the world is definitely near from a historical perspective, prophecy unfolds in it's own way and timeline, not according to our whatever end time belief systems. As for my biblical beliefs we can chat elsewhere if you like?

Their Sunday evening service consisted of; music (loud rock style), communion (yucky grape juice), and a family oriented lecture. Ending with brief salvation call, followed by donation dinner. After my intrusion they decided to cancel evening service, and so I quickly departed. They also told me to cease email communication. Since, I've not tried another church here, and not sure I will even bother. I was hoping for a warm honorable biblical fellowship group. But loveless corrupt temples they all seem to be everywhere?

Pewter is now around 8 and in good health, which is a blessing. Housebound now due to past costly animal bite injury, and my only companion friend anymore. She loves back slaps especially tail crevice, and neck and cheek massages, but hates tummy rubs or being held. And loves warm places to lay on like my heated throw. And when in wild mode she darts about my small studio apartment like a rocket. Afterwards she hops unto my desk avoiding obstacles for petting attention. And if I try to ignore her, she nips and rubs at my hand on the mouse, so that I can't ignore her presence. Drives me crazy too, as she refuses my 'lay down' requests, until she's satisfied with petting episode.
