Muslims abusing the welfare system in Australia were just given a major slap in the face
Australia’s Leader Put the Smack Down on Muslim Welfare Leeches

The Islamic State group is not content with their conquests in Iraq and Syria, but rather intend to grow their self-styled caliphate around the globe.
One method by which they intend to do this is with radical Islamist recruits throughout Western countries, including Australia, as evidenced by the hostage crisis in a Sydney cafe late last year and threats of further attacks and beheadings.
But the government and military are quite aware of the long-term threat they face from radical Islamic terrorism, and they have made moves to crack down on the Islamic fundamentalists wherever they may be found.
Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott gave a fiery speech last month, in which he insisted local Muslim leaders “get with the program” in combating the violent strain of radical extremism coursing through their faith.
“I’ve often heard Western leaders describe Islam as a ‘religion of peace’,” the conservative leader said. “I wish more Muslim leaders would say that more often, and mean it.”
Abbott used the speech to announce a number of measures he would be implementing to crack down on the Islamic State group in particular, and radical Islam in general.
Abbott said that individuals who were viewed as posing a threat would be denied welfare benefits and would have their passports and travel rights stripped from them to prevent them from joining the radical terror army in the Middle East.
“For too long, we have given those who might be a threat to our country the benefit of the doubt,” Abbott said. “We will never sacrifice our freedoms in order to defend them, but we will not let our enemies exploit our decency either.”
Abbott seemed particularly focused on Muslim immigrants who were abusing Australia’s generous welfare system, saying that such abuse by Islamists would soon be coming to an end.
“People who come to this country are free to live as they choose. Provided they don’t steal that same freedom from others,” Abbott said, according to Right Wing News.
Of course, local Muslim groups and organizations in Australia were outraged by Abbott’s statements, calling them “divisive” and accusing Abbott of making Muslims “scapegoats” for Australia’s problems.
