The Bible requires that a farmer leave the corners of his field,
gleanings that drop from
the hands of the gleaner, and small grapes left on the vine, to be given to the
poor. In the Holy Land today there is great poverty and Leket Israel is an organization
that “gleans” the modern fields of Israel, literally and figuratively,
organizing more than 45,000 volunteers to rescue millions of pounds of surplus
food to provide sustenance for poor Israelis. Help Leket Israel fight hunger and
win the chance for you and a friend to be VIP guests at the Cavaliers vs.
Wizards game!
