CNN's New Year's Eve Pot Celebration

“I’m trying to remember where we are. Where am I?” This... is CNN.

This is your Fake News Network on drugs.
Fox News reported that during CNN's year-end show from Times Square, reporter Randi Kaye did a segment from a “puff, pass and paint” party in Denver, Colorado, where the recreational use of marijuana is legal (as it now is in California too).
Kaye, signaling her approval of this legality with dangling marijuana leaf earrings, announced that she was participating in “New Year’s Eve, Denver-style!” At one point she held a lit marijuana cigarette toward the camera lens, saying “This is for you, Andy," referring to CNN host Andy Cohen, who was all the way in New York City.
The relentlessly annoying and creepy Cohen, inexplicably the star of the Bravo network and executive producer of the odious Real Housewives reality show franchise, was hosting with CNN's forgettable Anderson Cooper. The unnaturally enthusiastic Cohen was replacing disgraced, purported comedienne Kathy Griffin as Cooper’s New Year's Eve co-host.
Cooper hastened to reassure viewers that the onscreen drug revelry was perfectly legal: “I just want to point out that this is all legal in Colorado,” said a smiling Cooper.
“We’re at a dispensary called the Medicine Man!” Kaye reported excitedly. Then, suspiciously, she wondered, “I’m trying to remember where we are. Where am I?”
Fox News noted that some viewers "were appalled by the open embrace of marijuana" in CNN's report, but nothing that the failing cable news network does to further its delegitimization should surprise anyone anymore.
