SHOCKER: Children Prefer Toys Associated with Own Gender

Not a single rational person will be shocked to find out that boys and girls tend to gravitate toward toys related to their own genders. It’s only natural and now there’s a research article to quiet the naysayers.
The Left wants us to believe that gender is strictly a social construct and has nothing to do with natural biology. They come to that conclusion when they see the brother who likes to pretend he’s a chef at his sister’s kitchen play set, or the sister who loves playing with her brother’s Darth Vader action figure. Yes, the vast majority of parents will buy toys and clothes related to their child’s gender, but that “social construct” isn’t more powerful than innate, biological urges.
A study published by the scientific journal Infant and Child Development proved what most of us already know:
From an early age, most children choose to play with toys typed to their own gender.
It’s really not rocket science.
Sixteen hundred children between the ages of 1 and 8 years old were observed across 16 studies. There were 787 boys and 813 girls. With a free selection of toys, researchers noticed “that boys played with male-typed toys more than girls did and girls played with female-typed toys more than boys did.”
Any more questions?
Researches noted that there was no significant effect on the outcomes regardless of an adult present, geographical location, the child’s age, or adding in gender-neutral toys. The study did note that older males played with male toys at a greater rate than their younger counterparts. Yes, toddlers are more prone to grab anything in front of them without thie slightest thought of gender. Whereas as the female subjects increased in age, researches noted less preference for female toys.
The research paper concluded that gender preferences in toys have “a biological origin” while also being influenced by “social forces.”
One of the authors stated:
“Research into gender differences often attracts criticism which seems to be based on the moral judgement that biological bases for sex differences are somehow harmful to society. As scientists, and as members of the public who value truth over opinion, we need to move beyond moralistic arguments about facts and instead use the facts in beneficial ways.”
Unfortunately, the Left doesn’t value truth above their own opinions. They prefer feelings over facts.
