Joe Biden has always counted on Democrat officials to stand united in support of his administration’s policies.

But that is no longer the case.

Record breaking numbers of illegal aliens and dangerous drugs are pouring across the border on a daily basis.

During a five-day period on the Rio Grande Valley Sector, Border Patrol agents apprehended 4,831 illegal aliens.

The situation is so bad that even Democrats in the most left-wing cities and states are demanding action from Joe Biden.New York City Mayor Eric Adams recently held a press conference about what he described as a “national crisis” and demanded Joe Biden do his job and “control the border.”

And on Tuesday, Massachusetts Democrat Governor Maura Healey fired off a public letter to DHS chief Alejandro Mayorkas proclaiming “that there now exists in the Commonwealth a state of emergency due to rapid and unabating increases in the number” of illegal aliens flooding the state.

She told Mayorkas that “more than 5,500 families” have been forced to receive supported services provided by the state and live in emergency shelters that are normally reserved for American citizens.

“Many of these families are migrants to Massachusetts, drawn here because we are and probably have been a beacon to those in need,” she wrote. “These families require help to obtain housing, food, medical care, education, diapers, and infant formula,” she continued, before adding that “they are in danger of going without the most basic human rights in one of the most prosperous places on earth.”

Healey blamed the crisis on a “confusing tangle of immigration laws, an inability for migrants to obtain work authorization from the federal government, an increase in the number of people coming to Massachusetts, and the lack of an affordable housing supply in our state.”Of course, securing the border was noticeably absent from Healey’s letter.

Instead, Healey made a number of demands to politicians in Washington, D.C., including calling on them to “increase funding to states to assist in providing shelter and services to families.”

Democrat leaders in New York City and Massachusetts spent the past several years boasting about being a “sanctuary haven” where illegal aliens would be welcomed with open arms.

But now that every state is effectively a “border state,” these same Democrats are singing a different tune.
