SATURDAY, AUGUST 26 BIDEN LAUNCHES PRO-ABORTION AD IN SWING STATES  The Biden campaign launched an advertisement on Friday targeting purple states by criticizing the GOP’s pro-life stance. The ad features pro-life statements by Republican presidential candidates, then promises: “President Biden and Vice President Harris are determined to restore Roe v. Wade, and they will never allow a national abortion ban to become law.”  READ TRUMP RETURNS TO X (TWITTER)  Former President Donald Trump made his much-anticipated return to X (formerly known as Twitter) Thursday night just hours after he was arrested in Georiga and a day following the first Republican debate, where he was notably absent. Trump’s post consisted of his Fulton County mugshot and a link to the fundraising page of his campaign website with the words “ELECTION INTERFERENCE” and “NEVER SURRENDER!”  READ VIRGINIA AG: SCHOOLS MUST HONOR PRO-PARENT RULES  Virginia Republican Attorney General Jason Miyares on Wednesday wrote an official advisory opinion affirming Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s pro-parent school directives as valid and legally binding. School boards “are required to adopt policies” in keeping with the new rules, Miyares stated. “It's not just common sense, it's the law.”  READ MAUI COUNTY SUES HAWAII ELECTRIC  The government of Maui County, HI, is suing the Hawaiian Electric Company, citing the energy conglomerate’s alleged “mismanagement” that may have caused the region’s devastating wildfires. “Defendants knew of the extreme fire danger that the high wind gusts posed to their overhead electrical infrastructure, particularly during red flag conditions,” the lawsuit said.  READ GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN: APOCALYPTIC?  When Congress returns on September 12, the House will have 12 days to reach a consensus on the 2024 federal budget. Should they fail to pass a budget, they will bring about a government shutdown. Some Democrats seem to think this would spell the end of the world as we know it. Are they right? Read on.  READ JUDGE DISMISSES ABORTION PILL ORG COMPLAINTS  A district judge dismissed parts of an abortion pill lawsuit on Thursday, reaffirming West Virginia’s ability to restrict abortion. After GenBioPro sued the state of West Virginia because its restrictions on the abortion drug mifepristone caused its company “significant, ongoing economic injury,” the district judge dismissed the claim.  READ BIDEN COVID POLICIES SABOTAGED AFGHAN WITHDRAWAL EFFORTS  A recent report revealed how the Biden administration’s COVID-19 policies contributed to the United States’ botched, deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 by causing staff shortages of critical medical and military personnel. Under State Department policies, which mandated masking and vaccination, countless unvaccinated soldiers were barred from going on missions leading up to and during the evacuation of Kabul.  READ MUSICAL MEGASTARS WHO DENOUNCED ‘TRANS’  Multiple mainstream music icons have recently gone on the record publicly denouncing the “trans” movement, and especially the sharp increase in subjecting children to so-called “gender-affirming care.” Read what Alice Cooper, Carlos Santana, and other megastars have to say on behalf of children being targeted by the LGBTQ movement.  READ MOM SUES OFFICIALS OVER DAUGHTER’S HORRIFIC ABUSE  The mother of a teenage girl who at the age of 14 fell into the hands of sex traffickers is suing the Virginia school district she blames for her daughter’s trauma and the government lawyer who interfered with her efforts to return the girl home.
