Merrick Garland lieutenants did the unthinkable with move to send a count in alleged Trump crime the other way

Americans are furious at the special treatment they see the Biden family as getting over the shady business dealings that have become front and center.
But it’s not just that pressure that Biden’s Attorney General seems to have gotten lately. Because Merrick Garland’s lieutenants did the unthinkable with this move to send a count on a crime allegedly committed by Donald Trump the other way.Timing of DOJ’s removal of campaign finance charges against Democrat mega-donor and crypto huckster raises big questions
Big-time Democrat Party donor Sam Bankman-Fried is under the gun for defrauding people out of hundreds of millions of dollars. Bankman-Fried’s cryptocurrency exchange FTX was funneling money to other companies under his control.
But Bankman-Fried might skate on at least two of the charges levied against him. CNBC reported that “[p]rosecutors told Judge Lewis Kaplan on Wednesday that they were dropping the charge of conspiracy to make unlawful campaign contributions because they had failed to obtain permission from the government of the Bahamas for that charge when Bankman-Fried was extradited from the island nation in December.”
FTX was based in the Bahamas, and there were some questions as to whether or not he would even turn himself in to U.S. authorities. Bankman-Fried was granted house arrest after an anonymous benefactor paid a huge chunk of his bail.
Prosecutors wrote to the U.S. District Court in Manhattan, “The Government has been informed that The Bahamas notified the United States earlier today that The Bahamas did not intend to extradite the defendant on the campaign contributions count. Accordingly, in keeping with its treaty obligations to The Bahamas, the Government does not intend to proceed to trial on the campaign contributions count.”
DOJ announcement came the same day that Special Prosecutor Jack Smith handed down yet another indictment against Donald Trump CNBC added that the prosecution “had alleged that Bankman-Fried funneled hundreds of millions of dollars in bipartisan campaign financing through two unnamed co-conspirators to avoid campaign contribution limits.”
Unsurprisingly, Bankman-Fried’s financial ties to the Democrat Party are being downplayed in the whole affair.
Initially, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, ranking member of the Financial Services Committee, suggested that Bankman-Fried would not even be charged with a crime.
But after public outrage, the Democrats changed their tune.
Waters literally blew Bankman-Fried a kiss after he showered cash on the Democrats.
In a candid interview with Vox, Bankman-Fried confessed to his virtue-signaling, saying, “It’s what reputations are made of, to some extent […] I feel bad for those who get f*cked by it. [B]y this dumb game we ‘woke’ westerners play where we say all the right shibboleths and so everyone likes us.”
Not only did Bankman-Fried say the right things, he apparently gave money to the right people. Of course, it’s unlikely Donald Trump would get the same treatment even if he handed every penny of the more than a hundred million in donations he’s accumulated since leaving the White House to Democrat candidates.
As it stands now, Trump is on track to spend more than that on lawyers alone before the 2024 election is over.
