Welcome back to TruthRevolt's Anatomy of a Liberal, where we break down the latest instances in which the "tolerant" Left attempt to bully others into submission. As we reported Thursday, a homemaker from suburban Maine stole 40 Trump signs just because seeing them made her "feel angry." On Friday we shared a story about a New York Times reporter who allegedly threatened to disclose television personality Montel Williams' home address because he refused to participate in the man's hit-piece on Donald Trump.
Today we bring you yet another example of Left-wing bullying at its finest -- this one from Esquire magazine's Associate Culture Editor, Matt Miller.
Now remember the rules of the Left: If you don't agree with me or do what I want you to do, I will:
- Publicly shame you in the hopes you will either join my angry mob or be ostracized and hence, silenced
- Threaten your livelihood through boycott, berate the quality of your work, or have my online-minions post negative reviews of your work (where applicable) to lower your "stock"
- Assassinate your character to avoid debating an actual topic with you
- Enlist other bullies to rally around me and harass you into submission
- Compromise your personal safety by sharing your home address or phone number with the world
- Defame you as a "warmongering, sexist, Nazi, xenophobe" across all social media platforms
- Discredit you and any point you're trying to make by questioning your mental health
- Accuse you of being a stooge for Russia, ISIS, or insert-any-other-ridiculous-assertion I feel like
- Mock your intelligence or level of education
- Attack you for things you never said or did
- Throw anything else I can against the wall in the hopes that it will stick
With this handy check-list in mind, observe how Miller reacts to celebrities who have simply remained apolitical this election season. Like others of his ilk, Miller believes that if a person refuses to join the lynch mob against Donald Trump, frothing-at-mouth and with pitchfork raised high, he or she deserves to be publicly shamed.
Public shaming is done for one reason and one reason only: to threaten that person into joining your angry mob or face financial and social consequences.
Read below as Miller publicly "outs" celebrities who have not spoken out against Donald Trump. He lists the celebrities by names and number of social media followers, likely in an attempt to turn those followers against them:
A shockingly large number of Americans are prepared to make a reality TV star the ruler of the free world. Celebrities literally have the attention of millions of adoring fans at their fingertips, and it's hard to deny these people's influence. ...Any celebrity who has ever championed a cause, written, or wrote, or performed any work of any actual substance relating to life in this country has something at stake here. Maybe these artists are protecting their brand? F--- that! If their brand means to sacrifice the very values that make them human and a contributing member of this society, then they live a sad, hollow life. These are some of the highest paid and most influential celebrities on the planet who have yet to publicly and clearly declare allegiance to either candidate.
Miller's hit-list, provided by Newsbusters, includes:
Taylor Swift - Total social media followers: 156,147,879 -- Past affiliation? Unknown.Sean "P. Diddy" Combs -- Total social media followers: 16,265,085 -- Past affiliation? Initially supported Trump (!?) then backtracked and said he was undecided.Garth Brooks -- Total social media followers: 2,281,992Miranda Lambert -- Total social media followers: 14,434,515 -- Past affiliation? Unknown.Ronda Rousey -- Total social media followers: 14,308,9591 -- Past affiliation? Supported Sanders, and said she wouldn't vote for Hillary; current status unknown.Kenny Chesney -- Total social media followers: 9,051,699 -- Past affiliation? He says he doesn't like to talk politics, which he kinda didn't do in his new political manifesto.Cam Newton -- Total social media followers: 2,892,859 -- Past affiliation? Unknown, he wouldn't talk about politics.Danica Patrick -- Total social media followers: 2,958,805 -- Past affiliation? Stays away from politics.Bruno Mars -- Total social media followers: 84,661,423 -- Past affiliation? Unknown.Phil Mickelson -- Total social media followers: 91,300 -- Past affiliation? Has donated to the Republican party.Carrie Underwood -- Total social media followers: 17,366,107 -- Past affiliation? Probably Republican, but "I prefer to stay away from politics."Mark Wahlberg -- Total social media followers: 20,601,245 -- Past affiliation? Doesn't like to talk politics, but has golfed with Trump. The Rock -- Total social media followers: 67,447,579 -- Past affiliation? Leans Republican, but hasn't endorsed Trump. Might run for president.
Now we shall wait and see if Miller's ploy is successful. If any of these celebrities face social media scorn based on their political neutrality, and later go on to publicly denounce Donald Trump, it will have worked.
