Fellow
Christian,
In Iowa,
a state law threatens a pastor's right to freely teach the Bible in his church.
In
Alabama, a State Supreme Court Justice faces charges from a judicial commission
and risks being removed from the bench, all because he defends the Biblical
definition of marriage.
In
California, a new law has passed the Senate and is making its way through the
Assembly and, if signed into law, will silence the faith of Christian colleges
and universities.
Any one of us could
become a target of our own government simply for what we
believe.
The Left
has been working to criminalize Christianity for years, and here at Colorado
Christian University (CCU), we're fighting back.
The hope
that we have of keeping our faith legal is to train the next generation of Godly
men and women to defend it. With your help, we can continue to do exactly that.
With
each passing year, state and local lawmakers are working to curtail our right to
the freedom of religion.
We must
keep our faith legal by making sure Godly leaders step into the arena and defend
our principles.
We need
to show these Christian leaders that we're fighting alongside them. At CCU,
we're training the next generation to peacefully stand up to liberal radicals
and defend the religious freedoms that we were granted in the founding of our
nation.
If we don't oppose
the radical, anti-God Left at every turn, we risk losing our right to pray in
public, teach the Bible, lead our families according to Biblical principles, and
profess faith in Jesus Christ.
All
across the nation the Left is threatening our values; they're hoping we'll give
up the fight for Christianity, sit down, and be quiet.
If we
don't stand up to defend our religious liberties and Christian values,
we are sure to go the way of Russia where any sharing of the Christian
faith -- even a casual conversation -- must have prior authorization from the
state.
The way
the Left is right now -- stripping the 10 Commandments from public buildings
across the nation and sending the ACLU into towns where football coaches are
kneeling in private prayer -- we are headed down that same path far too quickly.
We must
hold the line against this assault on our faith.
We must
teach our students to have the courage of their convictions, to live principled
Godly lives, and not to be afraid to profess their faith -- even in the face of
adversity.
Thoughtful, outspoken, and motivated warriors are critical in the
fight to keep our rights to pray in public, express our Biblical values, and
lead a Christian life.
Every year CCU
is sending out hundreds of Christian graduates into Senate offices, high level
congressional offices, the Heritage Foundation, the American Enterprise
Institute, leading think tanks, state and local government, and as business
leaders across our nation.
But if
we don't continue to train the next generation to fight in the courts,
legislative houses, and schools across this nation, we risk losing everything we
hold dear.
Now is
the time to take action -- for this generation and for generations to come.
CCU is
leading the nation in educating Christian men and women, and our graduates are
already enacting great change in Washington and around our country.
But if
we don't keep training young men and women to stand up for their Christian
beliefs and feel empowered against radical bullies, we are bound to lose our
rights to pray, worship, and practice our faith publicly.
Many
blessings,
Paul J.
