Things must be looking bleak for the “blue wave” because now the celebrity leaders of The Resistance are already moving past next week’s midterm elections toward something much more drastic.
One of those ersatz revolutionaries is beloved 78-year-old actor James Cromwell whose on-screen portrayals of an often warm-hearted curmudgeon are completely contrary to his real-life role as a fire-breathing animal rights activist who has been arrested multiple times for his role in unruly protests.
Most casual viewers would quickly recognize Cromwell as the man who played second fiddle to a pig in the immortal animal film “Babe” and not the man who took the stage at this year’s edition of something called “The Carney Awards” and all but guaranteed that if the Democrats are unable to deliver at the ballot box that there would literally be “blood in the streets.”
Cromwell spoke to Variety where he seemed to suggest anarchy and violence as a solution to political shortcomings.
Via Variety, “Be Blood in the Streets’ if Trump Isn’t Stopped”:
Character actor James Cromwell was honored at the fourth annual Carney Awards, where he used his platform to call for change in the United States and warn of violence if President Trump and his allies remain in office.Speaking to Variety at the event, he warned of the turn that he sees America taking and cautioned there will be “blood in the streets” if Republicans remain in control.“This is nascent fascism. We always had a turnkey, totalitarian state — all we needed was an excuse, and all the institutions were in place to turn this into pure fascism,” Cromwell said. “If we don’t stop [President Trump] now, then we will have a revolution for real. Then there will be blood in the streets.”“We’re living in very curious times, and something is coming up which is desperately important to this country and to this planet, and that is an election, in which hopefully in some measure we are going to take back our democracy,” he said. “We will have a government that represents us and not the donor class. We will cut through the corruption, [and] we won’t have to do what comes next, which is either a non-violent revolution or a violent one, because this has got to end.”
Bear in mind that Cromwell and his fellow celebs who now serve as intellectual leaders to the political left are the same ones who are currently squealing like stuck pigs over the supposed violence that the inaccurately claim that the president is responsible for.
Ironically, Cromwell may end up being right about the “blood in the streets.”
But it may be flowing from the bodies of the pathetic crybabies of The Resistance who are going to end up pushing their luck way too far and ultimately force law enforcement and government authorities to respond with a proportionate amount of force that will be necessary to maintain order and that day is likely coming sooner than the big-mouthed celeb anarchists like Cromwell may think.
It’s probably better for these people to stick to the movies and their insulated fantasy worlds and stop throwing their temper tantrums over elections they continue to lose largely due to their own radicalism.
