Long-Running Show Cancels Beloved Character After PC Police Meltdown

"The Simpsons" – now in its thirtieth season – is the longest running sitcom in American history.
“I got some disheartening news back, that I’ve verified from multiple sources now: They’re going to drop the Apu character altogether,” Shankar told IndieWire. “They aren’t going to make a big deal out of it, or anything like that, but they’ll drop him altogether just to avoid the controversy.”
“The leeching politically correct brigade have once again gotten their way,” Glenn Beck said on “The Glenn Beck Radio Program” Monday. “The Simpsons … has surrendered to the unwavering demands of a small group of PC babies, who have screamed and wailed and moaned that the Apu character is ‘culturally insensitive,'” he added.
