A Florida Republican office was shot at this week, sending bullets flying through windows and inside the building. No injuries or fatalities were reported because no one was inside the office at the time of the shooting.
Police stated that there were at least four shots fired at the Volusia County Republican Party office.
Florida GOP Governor Rick Scott made a statement on social media, stating that he was glad everyone was safe. He also condemned the violence and stated his appreciation for law enforcement who responded to the scene.
“Glad everyone at the Volusia County Republican headquarters is okay and that no one was inside when the shooting happened. Violence of any kind does not belong in our state and I appreciate law enforcement’s quick response to keep these Floridians safe,” Scott wrote.
Although the liberal media made such a big deal about the crazed man who sent “pipe bombs” to Democrats, there is not even ONE story on the front page of CNN.com about this story.
Take a look for yourself:

However, can you imagine how much coverage this would get if it was the office of a DEMOCRAT?
Capt. Mark Cheatham of the South Daytona Police Department says four shots were fired at the office of the Republican Executive Committee of Volusia County.Tony Ledbetter, the county GOP chair, said the shooting happened sometime when staffers left the office Sunday afternoon and returned Monday morning.Cheatham says the shooting is being investigated as vandalism until detectives establish a motive.Ledbetter says it appeared to be by a drive-by-shooter. A window was shot out and another had a bullet hole in it.The office is located in a strip mall in South Daytona
Some people on social media expressed their distaste for the incident to be referred to as vandalism.
However, it should be known that if this occurred during a time when the offices are scheduled to be closed, lights out, and no one was inside — then this could be treated as vandalism because only property was destroyed and there wasn’t anyone dodging bullets. Without a victim, it may not be considered a shooting.
It’s just a technicality on words and descriptions, but should still be treated as a violent attack that appears to have political motives.
The investigations seem to be ongoing.
This is one of many attacks on Republican offices. One office in New York was vandalized with spray paint. Vandals also put glue in the locks, which makes it much harder to lock and unlock the door. The culprits also left a message that could be construed as threatening, suggesting that their vandalism attack was “merely a beginning.”
ABC 7 NY stated of the attack, “It happened around 1:30 a.m. at the location on East 83rd Street on Upper East Side, where windows were broken, doors were spray-painted and glue was put in the locks and on the handles. A threatening message was also left at the scene, telling Republicans the “attack is merely beginning.”
Readers should be aware that the note also mentioned Democrats.
“The Republican Party, joined by their spineless partners-in-crime, The Democrats, institute a policy of domestic and foreign terror felt the world over,” it read. “Our attack is merely a beginning. We are not passive, we are not civil, and we will not apologize.”
President Donald Trump has called for unity after the brutal attack in Pittsburgh and the mail bombs that were sent to prominent Democrats.
