Tunisia: Muslima blows herself up on Tunis street, many injured
“Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties, for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed.” (Qur’an 9:111)
There is no description in the Qur’an of what Paradise is like for women, while what it is like for men is described several times. Still, the Qur’an also says that Muslim women have a place in Paradise: “And whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, while being a believer, those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged the speck on a date seed.” (Qur’an 4:124) So this woman likely believed that she could take hold of the promise of Paradise contained in Qur’an 9:111.
