REASONS TO VOTE: Barbara Streisand May Move To Canada If Democrats Lose Midterms

25
Could a Democrat failure to win at least the House Of Representatives next week finally be what pushes celebrities over the edge?
There have been few who have taken President Trump’s 2016 win harder than the privileged, narcissistic, and largely ignorant celebrity class. And they have done much to poison the political climate with their unhinged social media ravings to their millions of adoring followers.
For these cultural elites, Hillary Clinton’s shocking loss was very personal because it deprived them all of being able to schmooze with the Clintons at swanky White House events, and they have never gotten over it.
Some like actor James Cromwell have suggested violence and predicted that there will be “blood in the streets” if the “blue wave” doesn’t roll in. But others may just leave the country if the Democrats fail to deliver.
Actress Barbara Streisand is mulling a move to Canada if the Republicans maintain control of Congress, something that should excite many voters.
Barbra Streisand is once again thinking about leaving the United States for political reasons.
In a Tuesday interview with The New York Times, the 76-year-old star admitted that she’s considering moving to Canada if the Democrats don’t win a majority in the House of Representatives in the midterm elections next week.
“I want to sleep nights, if we take the House I’ll be able to sleep a little bit better,” Streisand told the outlet, adding that if they don’t take control she’s been “thinking about” a potential move.
“I’ve been thinking about, do I want to move to Canada? I don’t know. I’m just so saddened by this thing happening to our country.”
The septuagenarian showbiz diva has always been a vocal force in the far-left politics that celebrity snobs have embraced for decades. And while ceding the limelight to younger firebrands in the Trump era, she still gets in her shots.
She also accused Trump of making her fat in a New York Times interview:
“It’s making me fat,” she continued. “I hear what he said now, and I have to go eat pancakes now, and pancakes are very fattening. We make them with healthy flour, though — almond flour, coconut flour.”
It isn’t the first time that she has blamed the president for her lack of dietary discipline:
Streisand also made a similar suggestion in 2016, but she’s still here.
Via The Hill only months before Trump won:
Actress and iconic singer Barbra Streisand said she will move to Canada or Australia if Donald Trump is elected.
“He has no facts. I don’t know, I can’t believe it. I’m either coming to your country, if you’ll let me in, or Canada,” Streisand said about the GOP nominee in an interview on Australia’s “60 Minutes” this week.
Streisand, who is a supporter of Hillary Clinton’s bid, has also been a vocal critic of the Republican presidential nominee.
“When I listen to the things he says, I think, ‘This can’t be happening,’” the 74-year-old said about Trump in an interview last December.
She also wasn’t the only celeb who vowed to leave if Trump won, but never did. So, don’t get your hopes up that any of them will do anything other than what they always do: talking big.
Still, the thought of a CelebExit should be yet another motivator to turn out in force next Tuesday to vote.
