More Children This Year

More than five thousand Jewish children suffering extreme poverty throughout Ukraine and Russia are being given coupons this winter to purchase new, fashionable and seasonally appropriate clothing. Many of these children come from single-parent families, have children with disabilities, refugees, or are from families dealing with other challenges such as addiction, abuse, and neglect.

Video Clips bring Kiddush
and Havdalah to Life

The FJC is happy to announce that Yahaduton, has released two new educational video clips in the Russian language sponsored by the Leviev Foundation. The first clip teaches how to make Kiddush, the ceremonial blessing over wine that ushers in the Shabbat, and the second teaches how to make Havdalah, the ceremony marking the end of Shabbat. The visual demonstration given in these beautifully clips in the Russian language makes these Jewish traditions easy to learn and very accessible to Jews living in the FSU and across the globe.

EnerJew Opens 5 New Cities,
Another 10 Planned

Toliati, Kamenskoye, Kremenchug, Bobruisk, and Chelyabinsk, became the new additions to EnerJew youth movement’s family in the FSU region. The new additions boost the Jewish youth movement’s presence to 49 FSU cities overall, with close to 3,000 teens in activities’ scope.
