Biden Mulls Sending Troops to Ukraine, Reports Say

(ConservativeHub.com) – With over 100,000 Russian troops amassed on the Ukrainian border, tensions are coming to a head between the two nations. In response, the US has told its Ukranian embassy staff families and non-essential personnel to evacuate as they are able. New reports also show President Joe Biden is considering sending US troops to Baltic states to prepare for a potential Russian invasion.

On Sunday, January 23, senior military officials briefed President Biden at Camp David on various potential strategies to use in the coming days as Russia pressures the Ukrainian border. One option included sending between 1,000 and 5,000 American troops to Eastern Europe. However, another report showed the number could increase to 50,000 if needed. As of Monday, the Pentagon has put 8,500 soldiers on “heightened alert,” so that they will be ready if the time comes to deploy them.
