Pop singer Alicia Keys believes the United States "cannot claim to be the home of the brave" until Congress passes more gun control legislation.
Leading into her bravely makeup-free musical performance at the DNC this week, Keys took the opportunity to deliver a heartfelt, brave gun control message to her crowd of leftist devotees by exclaiming that true bravery comes to fruitiononly when government elitists with armed bodyguards curtail our 2nd Amendment rights.
"Women are the answer," Keys said. "We have the power to ensure that this country gets on the right path. I dedicate this song to the Mothers of the Movement and all mothers who have lost their sons and daughters to senseless violence."
"Until we deal with gun control in America," she concluded, "we cannot claim to be the home of the brave."
Keys then went on to perform her hit song "Superwoman" in honor of Hillary Clinton, neglecting the irony Hillary has spent the past 25 years of her life under Secret Service protection and probably hasn't even driven a motorized vehicle even longer.
As noted by The Blaze, folks on Twitter didn't take kindly to the pop singer's redefinition of America's most beloved of slogans:
