It was the biggest moment of her entire life: Hillary Clinton, standing on the stage, giving her acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention as the first woman ever to be a presidential nominee for a major party. Sounds like a good time for a nap, right?
Well, husband Bill Clinton sure thought it was. ABC News cameras caught the former president and potential "first dude" snoozing it up during this historic moment. He was flanked by his daughter, Chelsea, and his wife's VP pick, Tim Kaine.
At one point, Kaine, looking annoyed, glanced over to see the sleepy Clinton catching some Zs and appears to lean forward to block the camera's view.
But even if Bill was just "resting his eyes," there were a few other angles where the former president just didn't look well:
There have been questions about Hillary's health throughout the last few years since she suffered a concussion four years ago. Many have expressed concern over her coughing fits during her campaign appearances. Those concerns surfaced again during this speech as Mrs. Clinton constantly cleared her throat as evidenced in the montage video below. Keep an eye out for Bill's appearance near the 1:08 mark, struggling to clap and keep his eyes open during a standing ovation:
But it appeared that by the end, Bill was refreshed and enjoying an old pastime -- playing with big balloons:
The Freedom Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Therefore we do not endorse political candidates either in primary or general elections. However, as defenders of America’s social contract, we insist that the rules laid down by both parties at the outset of campaigns be respected, and that the results be decided by free elections. We will oppose any attempt to rig the system and deny voters of either party their constitutional right to elect candidates of their choice.
