'The View' Labels Megyn Kelly 'B*tch,' Gives 'Hanoi Jane' a Pass

"We all make mistakes. You gotta lighten up, babe.”

On The View Tuesday, the left-wing cluckers who host the daytime mainstay took sides in the beef between former Fox News star Megyn Kelly and "Hanoi Jane" Fonda.
The dust-up began when Fonda guested on Megyn Kelly Today in September, during which Kelly asked the 80-year old actress about having cosmetic surgery, to which she had previously openly admitted. Fonda was apparently perturbed by the query and spoke out against Kelly afterward in multiple interviews. After Fonda's strike at her journalistic caliber in Variety, Megyn clarified on her show Monday:
"I have no regrets about [the] question. Nor am I in the market for a lesson from Jane Fonda on what is and is not appropriate. After all, this is a woman whose name is synonymous with outrage."
Megyn eviscerated Fonda with a reminder of the former workout-video queen's misdeedsduring the war in Vietnam:
"Look at her treatment of our military during the Vietnam War. Many of our veterans (and some of our writers) still call her Hanoi Jane, thanks to her radio broadcast, which attempted to shame American troops. She posed on an anti-aircraft gun used to shoot down our American pilots. She called our POW's hypocrites and liars and referred to their torture as 'understandable.' Even she had to apologize years later for that gun picture, but not for the rest of it. By the way, she still says she is not proud of America...Honestly, she has no business lecturing anyone on what qualifies as offensive."
The hosts of The View were not impressed. Meghan McCain thought no more fuel should be added to the fire. However, after playing the clip of Megan scorching Fonda, Goldberg scolded Kelly, "Nor do you. Nor do you."
"I've never seen a journalist do something like that," marveled Sunny Hostin.
Left-wing human-nails-on-a-chalkboard Joy Behar claimed Fonda was given a bad wrap regarding the war:
"Wow. I mean, really. To drag the Vietnam War into a plastic surgery conversation is a real stretch, Megyn, okay? And why are people more angry with Jane Fonda about the Vietnam War than they were to Nixon and LBJ and people who lied about the war, who sent boys as cannon fodder to that unjust and filthy war? It amazes me how you can focus on Jane Fonda!"
Joy then turned up the grill under Kelly:
“Jane should have just said to her, 'And how much work have you had, b*tch?’”
Behar and Goldberg maintained that Fonda shouldn't be held responsible for a "mistake" long ago. Furthermore, Whoopi attempted to equate Fonda's error in judgment with a statement by Kelly that Santa Claus was white:
“If I can forgive you for telling all my friends' black children that Santa is only white. You can step back. Because you made a mistake. You made a mistake. We all make mistakes. You gotta lighten up, babe.”
Mistake? Treason is not a mistake. Jane Fonda traveled to North Vietnam and eagerly participated in the enemy's propaganda against American soldiers in a time of war. Lighten up? For anyone guilty of such shameful actions, the light shone on those misdeeds should always be harsh. She can have all the cosmetic surgery in the world to change her outward appearance; but inside, she will still be a dark, traitorous soul.
