LEFT-WING VOTERS RAGE AT CHUCK SCHUMER AFTER SENATE CONFIRMS 15 MORE JUDGES WITH HIS BLESSING

Left-Wing Voters Rage At Chuck Schumer After Senate Confirms 15 More Judges With His Blessing

Liberal Democrats still exasperated over the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh just received another dose of devastating news Thursday when reports surfaced that 15 more judges are slated to be confirmed pronto — and with the blessing of Senate Democrats.
“Senate Democrats accepted an offer Thursday from Senate Republicans to confirm 15 lifetime federal judges in exchange for the ability to go into recess through the midterms, allowing endangered Democrats to campaign,” Politico reported.
“The calculation by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and his caucus was simple: That Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) would be able to confirm roughly 15 judges if he kept the Senate in session for the next few weeks anyway.”
The only senator who reportedly openly opposed the deal was Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a woman whom even Chief of Staff John Kelly considers to be “an impolite, arrogant woman.”
Among the base, however, there’s been a lot of consternation and sometimes even rage.
“Make no mistake, today was yet another step in the GOP’s takeover of our courts, stacking the deck against women and families at every level,” NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue kvetched in a statement. “Immediately following Kavanaugh’s confirmation and all of the energy and despair around it, this deal is especially painful.”
Vanita Gupta, the president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, reportedly concurred.
“In recent weeks, people from all corners of our country have risen up and spoken out about how a fair and independent judiciary is essential to protecting our civil and human rights,” she whined. “Yet, today the Senate is jamming through controversial judicial nominees without adequate debate. Every single senator should take their responsibility to consider lifetime appointments to our courts more seriously.”
These were admittedly the more polite reactions. For many everyday Democrats, Schumer’s apparent capitulation to Senate Republicans was unforgivable.
So unforgivable, in fact, that it merited curse words and pure, unadulterated rage:
This sort of infighting among aggravated Democrats could prove useful to Republicans come November, especially if it inspires liberals to stay away from the polling booths out of anger.
Turnout among the Democrats’ core base — children, for a lack of a better word, 18 and older — is already expected to be low because of a lack of interest, as noted by Vox:
Democrats counting on young people to propel them in the 2018 midterms still have some work to do in convincing them to get to the polls: According to a new survey, millennials like Democrats more than they like Republicans, and they certainly don’t like President Donald Trump — but just over half of them say they plan to vote come November.
An NBC News/GenForward survey released on Wednesday found that just 55 percent of millennials say they either probably or definitely will vote in November. A quarter says they aren’t sure if they’ll go to the polls or not, and 19 percent say they probably or definitely won’t vote.
Such apathy cannot be found on the right, where seasoned conservatives in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s+ are just itching to hit the ballot box and help President Donald Trump continue enacting his agenda.
