The election of Brazil’s Jair Bolsonaro capped off a vicious month for the boycott, divestment and sanction (BDS) of Jews movement
The month of October has been another horrific one for the BDS movement. Not since May of this year has the BDS movement taken such a shellacking. The claim that Israel is “isolated” is becoming more ridiculous practically by the day. The world is becoming increasingly fed up with the “Palestinian” victimhood narrative. The “Palestinians” have foolishly rejected generous peace offers from Israel for decades. They incorrectly believed that the Israelis would eventually be forced to accept a suicidal “peace” agreement at the UN, by turning the world’s only Jewish state into a pariah.

In the age of high technology and innovation, it has become next to impossible to ostracize Israel. Since the “Palestinians” have not created anything of value, they are completely helpless to stop Israel’s diplomatic and economic surge. Israel is being embraced like never before, despite the narrative from the fake news media and the vicious hostility from the pro-jihad United Nations.
Just some of October’s highlights include a delegation of Intel’s top executives, who arrived in Israel to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the chip-maker’s expanding operations in Israel. Intel has invested a staggering $38 billion in Israel, and employs close to 15,000 Israeli engineers. The Intel executives would go on to launch an AI centre at Technicon University. Intel also announced that they would be investing an additional $5 billion in one of their existing plants in Kiryat Gat.
The U.S gaming tech giant Nvidia opened an AI research centre in Tel Aviv. One Nvidia executive would go on to say that “Israel is one of the most exciting places for us.” Amazon.com opened a stunning 25,000 square meter R&D facility in Tel Aviv, which will employ hundreds of Israeli engineers. Google also announced expansion plans in Israel, by renting a 6-storey building in Tel Aviv for their start-up residency program. In late October, the Retail Disrupt Conference will take place in Rishon LeZion. At this conference, Israeli start-ups will showcase their game-changing technology to companies such as Walmart, Amazon.com, Nike, EBay, Adidas, Best Buy, Facebook and many others. In early October, New York City selected two Israeli firms to build two of their new cybersecurity centers.
Israel’s relations with China continued to reach new heights in October. China’s Vice Chairman, Wang Qishan, brought a huge business delegation to Israel to attend the Israel-China Innovation Conference. The delegation included Alibaba Group CEO Jack Ma and other influencers. During Qishan’s four day visit, several agreements were signed in areas such as life sciences, digital health, and agriculture, which will no doubt bring Israel-China trade volume to another level. In India, Israel Aerospace Industries was awarded a massive $777 million deal, to provide India’s Navy with state-of-the-art surface-to-air missiles, which was shortly followed up by another mega-deal for air defense systems (by an unnamed Asian country) worth $550 million. In Vietnam, Israel celebrated 25 years of diplomatic ties by hosting the “Israel in the heart of Hanoi” exhibition, which celebrated the growing contributions Israel is making to the South East Asian country.
In the Arab world, Prime Minister Netanyahu made a surprise visit to Oman to discuss security cooperation with Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said. At an international judo competition in Abu Dhabi, Hatikvah was played after Israel’s Sagi Muki won a gold medal. There have also been reports that Israel sold $250 million worth of spy equipment to Saudi Arabia. In Africa, the United Nations signed agreements with Israeli firms worth millions of dollars, to utilize Israel’s expertise in water and security. Israel opened an embassy in Rwanda as well.
However, the greatest defeat of the BDS movement this month occurred in Brazil. The people of Brazil elected the pro-Israel Jair Bolsonaro as their next president. Bolsonaro has vowed to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move his embassy to the Israeli capital. Bolsonaro has also pledged to close down the “Palestinian” embassy in Brasilia. Israeli relations with Latin American countries were already flowering. Countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, Argentina, Peru, and Colombia have established strong ties to Israel. However, with the election of Bolsonaro, Israel will now have a strong new ally in Brazil. Therefore, Israel’s presence and influence is Latin America will continue to ascend significantly.
What must the leaders of the BDS movement be thinking after a series of such profound defeats in one short month? What must the “Palestinian” leadership be thinking? Will the reality that the BDS movement cannot defeat Israel begin to sink in? Not likely.

Once the election is over, it is time for all, united, to continue working for Brazil,” Brazil’s President Michel Temer, who rose to power to replace impeached Dilma Rousseff, tweeted overnight.For many Jewish voters, Bolsonaro has always been a dream president. He has declared he will move the Brazilian embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv. His first international trip as president, he said, will be to Israel, with which he will seek to broaden the dialogue. Palestine is not a country, so there should be no embassy here,” Bolsonaro said weeks ago. “You do not negotiate with terrorists.”The pol’s victory means burying the longtime anti-Israel sentiment of far-left Rouseff and Luis Inacio Lula da SIlva, who is serving a 12-year prison sentence for corruption and money laundering. One low point in Brazil-Israel relations came in 2014, when the Brazilian government recalled its ambassador to Israel for consultations during that summer’s war in Gaza, and a former special adviser to Rouseff described Israeli military actions there as a “massacre.”“Bolsonaro stood out among the many candidates for including the State of Israel in the major speeches he made during the campaign,” Israel’s honorary consul in Rio, Osias Wurman, told JTA last week. “He is a lover of the people and the State of Israel.”…
