Bondi: DOJ Will ‘Come After’ ICE Raid Leaker

Attorney General Pam Bondi has come out with a strong response to a recent leak that revealed the location of planned U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids.

ICE was reportedly planning a “large scale” operation in Los Angeles in mid to late February, but someone within the federal government leaked these plans, allowing illegal aliens to make plans to avoid arrest and potentially putting law enforcement officers in danger.

Bondi responded to the leak during an appearance on Fox News Channel, where she vowed that the Department of Justice (DOJ) would “come after” the leaker(s).

“If anyone leaks anything, people don’t understand that jeopardizes the lives of our great men and women in law enforcement, and if you leaked it, we will find out who you are and we will come after you,” she warned. “And it’s not gonna stop our mission, it’s not gonna stop the President’s mission to make America safe again.”

“We were very clear with the lawsuit we filed in Chicago that if you don’t follow the law, you will be prosecuted by the Department of Justice,” Bondi added.

The leaked memo contained information about a “large scale” operation planned for Los Angeles, where agents from the Los Angeles field offices of the FBI and DEA are being asked to assist ICE’s efforts to apprehend criminal illegal aliens.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem has asserted that the leak most likely came from the FBI.

“The FBI is so corrupt. We will work with any and every agency to stop leaks and prosecute these crooked deep state agents to the fullest extent of the law,” she wrote in a post on X.

At least one ICE raid has already been affected by leaks. Law enforcement planned to conduct a raid specifically targeted at members of the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua in Colorado. However, when they arrived at both of the raid targets, there were no gang members to be found, though they did make some arrests of other illegal aliens.

“I do get the impression that there were some intel leaks here,” acting ICE director Caleb Vitello told Fox News. “And I think that they probably did know we were coming. But we’re still coming. And just because something leaks now and then, doesn’t — it isn’t gonna stop us.”
