Shortly after news broke that Attorney General Loretta Lynch met with former president Bill Clinton on her private plane earlier this week, controversy erupted as to whether or not the meeting would compromise her investigations of Hillary Clinton.
In an interview with radio host Mike Gallagher, Trump slammed the meeting between Lynch and Clinton, calling it "terrible" while posing a series of questions.
"It is an amazing thing," Trump said. "I heard about it last night. They actually went onto the plane as I understand it. That’s terrible. And it was really a sneak. It was really something that they didn’t want publicized as I understand it. Wow, I just think it’s so terrible, I think it’s so horrible."
According to Lynch, her visit with Clinton had been “primarily social” with the two mostly discussing their families and even golf. Lynch assured reporters that no discussion took place about the Justice Department’s investigation into Hillary's use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state.
Trump did not take Lynch's words at face value, calling it an example that the system has been "rigged."
"I think it’s the biggest story – one of the big stories of this week, of this month, of this year," Trump said. "This is terrible and nobody can understand why nothing’s happened. You see a thing like this and, even in terms of judgment, how bad of judgment is it for him or for her to do this? I mean, who would do this?"
"It’s a massive story now. It’s all over the place," he continued. "Even the liberal media’s making it a big story, which is shocking to me, because it’s so out of bounds. Wow, that’s an amazing thing."
The Freedom Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Therefore we do not endorse political candidates either in primary or general elections. However, as defenders of America’s social contract, we insist that the rules laid down by both parties at the outset of campaigns be respected, and that the results be decided by free elections. We will oppose any attempt to rig the system and deny voters of either party their constitutional right to elect candidates of their choice.
