Presidential candidate Donald Trump has finally weighed in on the most recent Supreme Court ruling in favor of abortion, overturning a Texas restriction on the practice, after a three-day silence.
In an interview with radio host Mike Gallagher Thursday, Trump reiterated his pro-life stance while assuring people that the Supreme Court under his watch would never rule in favor of abortion.
"You won’t even have to question. You wouldn’t even have to bother going to court. You’re going to know the answers,” Trump said.
Trump also warned that Hillary will make the Supreme Court more liberal if elected.
Dawn Laguens, executive vice president of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, criticized Trump following his remarks, cautioning women to be afraid.
"Trump’s remarks today should send a shiver down the spine of anyone who believes women should have access to safe, legal abortion," Laguens said in a statement. "Electing Trump means he will fight to take away the very rights the Supreme Court just ruled this week are constitutional and necessary health care."
In the same interview, Trump also took issue with Chief Justice John Roberts for upholding the Affordable Care Act.
"I mean, who would’ve thought that could’ve happened? He could’ve killed it twice and he didn’t. That was terrible. And that was a Bush appointment. I mean that was – that was so bad, that was so bad, what happened,”Trump said.
