Bishop Goes To War With #MeToo Activists For Co-Opting National Anthem Protests

A virulently left-wing black bishop has launched a war against white #MeToo activists for co-opting unemployed NFL player Colin Kaepernick’s flawed national anthem protests to promote their own flawed movement.
“White women kneeling during the anthem to protest ‘rape culture’ is highjacking a movement you took no risks for,” Bishop Talbert Swan complained on Twitter in a series of tweets published over the weekend that were highly critical of white #MeToo activists.
“You didn’t kneel in solidarity to protest the murder of Black people, don’t co opt & make it about your victimization. That’s white supremacy in the name of feminism.”
Look at all his tweets below:
Kaerpernick launched his wildly criticized national anthem protests two years ago to focus the spotlight on the non-existent epidemic of police brutality against blacks. The protests quickly spread and have since become a tool of expression for countless left-wing athletes.
Ironically, the national anthem protests are just as flawed as the #MeToo movement, which began with sincere intentions but quickly transformed into an anti-male movement that seeks to empower women at the expense of — instead of alongside — men.
It’s believed Swan was “triggered” into lashing out against white #MeToo activists after actress Molly Ringwald demanded that Beyonce, Ariana Grande and Christine Aguilera protest the national anthem to call attention to so-called “rape culture,” which doesn’t exist:
Swan’s attack on white #MeToo activists was not well received:
Instead of trying to seek some sort of understanding with these women, however, the bishop doubled down:
It’s like watching an army of complete morons fighting one another …
The current iteration of the #MeToo movement — which suffered massive damage because of the smear campaign against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh — revolves around two key principles:
One: A so-called “rape culture” permeates America.
Two: All women must be believed when they accuse a man of sexual assault.
The #MeToo movement therefore revolves around lies. There is no “rape culture” in America, as noted by dozens of intellectuals, including including Canadian feminist Wendy McElroy of The Future of Freedom Foundation:
The idea that America is a rape culture is a particularly vicious big lie, because it brands all men as rapists or rape facilitators. This lie has been successful despite reality. The rate of actual rape is declining. The crime is severely punished, and even an accusation can ruin lives; men who rape are reviled; the social messages on rape delivered regularly to young men are the opposite of encouragement.
Nevertheless, in January 2014, the White House Council on Women and Girls issued a report that stated, “1 in 5 women has been sexually assaulted while in college.” A key reason for this amazingly high statistic is that the report significantly expands the definition of rape, and it counts every accusation as true. Since then, the “1 in 5” statistic has gained legs in the media and been used as proof that we live in a rape culture.
The notion that we must #BelieveAllWomen is equally flawed because women sometimes lie, as evidenced by the litany of false sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
