Senate Judiciary Committee Ranking Democrat Diane Feinstein is making major moves to seal the final report on the FBI into allegations that Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh was sexually inappropriate toward women almost four decades ago.
As noted by Conservative Tribune, the FBI is expected to release its final report by Wednesday evening, and Feinstein is apparently panicking. She claims to want transparency, but her actions show otherwise.
The top Democrats doesn’t want the report to be made available to the public, a sign to many that it will reaffirm Kavanaugh’s innocence and show that there’s no evidence to support the salacious claims made by the other accusers.
“It would seem to me that if people are going to be identified this ought to be held very close and not,” Feinstein said. “I think the investigation ought to be closely held.”
A total of five people, not including Low, have come forward in recent weeks with weak allegations against Kavanaugh.
Christine Blasey Ford alleges Kavanaugh groped her at a party around 1983 — she has no witnesses or evidence to support her claims. Deborah Ramirez claims Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a party in 1983 — she has no witnesses or evidence to support her claims.
Julie Swetnick wrote in her sworn affidavit that Kavanaugh drugged women, took part in “gang rapes,” and implied that Kavanaugh may have sexually assaulted her in the 1980s at one of the high school parties. Now, she is walking back all three of those assertions, contradicting her original claims.
Two others have since come forward with allegations in the form of anonymous letters.
Amazingly enough, Feinstein didn’t appear concerned with keeping people’s identities “closely held” when it appears that she, or someone from her office, leaked the letter she received from Ford. Over two months ago, Ford sent a letter to Feinstein alleging that Kavanaugh pinned her down on a bed and groped her at a high school party in the early 1980s.
The letter mysteriously “leaked” to the media and kicked-off the hearing between Ford and Kavanaugh last Thursday to testify about the allegations. And it also paved the way for the FBI conducting a one-week probe into the claims, which President Donald Trump ruled must be concluded by Friday.
Democrats have spent several weeks advancing shoddy allegations against Kavanaugh.
None of the accuser’s have any evidence or witnesses to corroborate their claims against Kavanaugh, but Feinstein and company have demanded the FBI investigate them as part of the supplemental background investigation into Kavanaugh.
After orchestrating a complete circus for over a month and smearing Kavanaugh with baseless accusations, now Feinstein doesn’t want the FBI report made available to the public.
Perhaps that is because it will show that there’s no evidence at all to support the phony claims against Kavanaugh, and that his denial will likely be supported by the bureau’s findings.
Just about everyone can see the game Feinstein and Democrats are playing, which is to stall, delay, and ratchet up any excuse imaginable to thwart Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
