AUDIO: Charlie Rangel 'Glad' Citizens Can't Carry Guns, But He 'Deserves' Protection

The Daily Caller has exclusive audio of Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) saying he's glad that law-abiding New Yorkers can't protect themselves with guns but declares he "deserves" protection at the U.S. Capitol.
The interviewer asked Rangel about his Harlem constituents and if citizens there should be able to get concealed carry permits. He said:
"I wouldn't want them to have it… Law-abiding citizens just shouldn’t have to carry a gun."
And when pressed to justify why he is afforded armed protection at the Capitol, Rangel laughed and said:
"Well that’s a little different. I think we deserve -- I think we need to be protected down here."
