President Barack Obama is blaming the GOP for a Supreme Court decision that struck down executive orders that the President issued in 2014 on immigration. The court was tied 4-4, meaning a lower court ruling that Obama had overstepped his bounds in granting legal status to illegals stands, and the executive orders, which bypassed Congress, are no longer in force.
In remarks after the ruling the president blamed his political opponents and called on Americans to fix this issue:
"This is part of the consequence of the Republican failure so far to give a fair hearing to Mr. Merrick Garland, my nominee to the Supreme Court.
"They are allowing partisan politics to jeopardize something as fundamental as the impartiality and integrity of our justice system."
The President said that Americans have to decide that they are okay with allowing illegals to pick fruit and make beds, but not be given a chance at citizenship.
