They Never Learn -- Lynch DeclaresLove and Compassion Best Response to Terror

"We stand with you to say that the good in this world far outweighs the evil."

They never learn. Never.
Attorney General Loretta Lynch apparently didn't embarrass herself enough this week after trying to pass off a rewritten -- I mean, "redacted" -- transcript of terrorist Omar Mateen's 911 call to the general public. Luckily, public criticism was swift and fierce and the Justice Department was forced to release the full, unedited transcript in which Mateen praised "Allah" and pledged allegiance to ISIS while carrying out his jihadist massacre.
The administration's tactic was clear all along. Mateen's 911 transcript serves as a living document that proves the atrocity was in fact an act of Islamic terrorism -- and not catalyzed by homosexual self-loathing or America's lax gun laws. And that negates Obama's revisionist history of the atrocity.
In fairness, the Attorney General is likely not the mastermind behind the revisionism. She's just carrying out orders as any Obama acolyte is wont to do. Sadly, despite her public embarrassment -- which should have served as a lesson learned -- Lynch has proven that loyalty to the administration's narrative trumps all else.
During remarks to Orlando media on Tuesday, Lynch made an obligatory vow of "solidarity" with the LGBT community. Needless to say such statements are entirely vacuous given how the administration has proved it will do nothing to actually protect the LGBT community from future terror.
Still beholden to her ostrich logic, Lynch pressed on, saying the best response to terror is "love and compassion":
“We stand with you to say that the good in this world far outweighs the evil, that our common humanity transcends our differences, and that our most effective response to terror and to hatred is compassion, it’s unity, and it’s love... We stand with you today as we grieve together, and long after the cameras are gone, we will continue to stand with you as we grow together in commitment, in solidarity, and in equality.”
I've written extensively on the suicidal ramifications of this very misguided notion  --  one that posits that terrorists only want our "hatred" thus the only way to defeat them is through "love and understanding."
Following the terrorist attack on Paris last November, a widower spoke of how his wife was among the massacred at the Bataclan nightclub and of how he refused to "give ISIS what it wanted" -- i.e. "his hatred."
"No, I will not give you the gift of hating you [Islamic terrorists]," the widower declared in a public statement.
"You have it coming yet to respond to hatred with anger would be giving into the same ignorance that made you what you are. You want me to be afraid, to look at my fellow citizens with suspicious, to sacrifice my freedom for security. You lost. And no, you won't have his [my son's] hatred either."
It is painful to see how Westerners consistently misinterpret what terrorists want. And in doing so, usher in our own destruction.
By reacting the way this man, or our Attorney General urges we do, we are in fact giving the savages the "gift" they want. Because savages count on using our own values against us -- and we keep obliging.
Islamic terrorists -- regardless their affiliation -- count on one thing above all others in their quest to vanquish the West. It is more powerful than any bomb, or assault weapon. It is in exploiting Western values and ethos to their own advantage.
In being instructed to embrace "compassion" over vigilance and "love" over righteous anger, we make ourselves sheep to the slaughter. Because we will continue to refuse to do that which may not be politically correct, but is necessary for survival. It is our very "tolerance" that enables suspicious communities and people like Omar Mateen to be dismissed by law enforcement as threats. It is our commitment to embrace inclusion rather than self-preservation that will make way for Syrian refugees -- all of whom cannot be properly vetted and some of whom will assuredly turn out to be ISIS infiltrators. It is our humanity that rejects war, even when war has been declared on us. In the end we prove that there will be no retribution for slaughtering innocent Americans by the dozens.
Islamic terrorists do not wince when they hear Westerners proclaim compassion in the wake of barbarism. Rather, they rejoice each time their victims behave with predictable "tolerance" as it proves how easy it will be for them to win. That is the gift they want.
And it's the one those sworn to protect us keep giving them.
