Speaking to the press on Tuesday, President Obama declared Donald Trump "unfit to serve as president."
"I think the Republican nominee is unfit to serve as president," Obama said during a White House press conference alongside Singapore PM Lee Hsien Loong. "I said so last week and he keeps on proving it."
"He's woefully unprepared to do this job," he added.
Obama's criticism comes on the heels of the Khizir Khan debacle. The president chided Trump for "attack[ing] a Gold Star family."
He also implored Republicans to denounce their nominee once and for all:
"There has to come a point at which you say somebody who makes those kinds of statements doesn't have the judgment, the temperament, the understanding to occupy the most powerful position in the world.
"There has to be a point in which you say this is somebody I can't support for president of United States. There has to be a point in which you say 'enough.'"
"The question they have to ask themselves is if you are repeatedly having to say in very strong terms that what he has said is unacceptable, why are you still endorsing him? What does this say about your party, that this is your standard bearer?" Obama continued.
Obama said this wasn't about simple disagreements, like over tax policies or something of the kind, but unflinching doubt that Trump could actually "function as president."
Says the worst President in American history.
