Senator McCaskill Said She Enjoys “Listening” At Town Halls, But Now She Openly KICKS PEOPLE OUT

4
Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) appears to have quite the conundrum at her hands. She was quoted as saying that she enjoys listening and figuring out what people are thinking about during the town hall events that she attends. Fast forward five months later and she’s caught on video kicking people out, not letting anyone take photographs or pictures, and ignoring questions according to a Tweet by Caleb Hull.
Watch the video of McCaskill:
“Claire McCaskill May 7, 2018: “The part (of town halls) that’s the best for me is listening and figuring out what is really on people’s minds.”
Claire McCaskill Oct. 8, 2018: Kicks people out of her town hall, says no one is allowed to take video or pictures, ignores questions.”
McCaskill is currently in a tight race with Republican challenger Josh Hawley who is the Missouri Attorney General.
“The Reuters/Ipsos/UVA Center for Politics poll published on Wednesday found that 44 percent of likely Missouri voters back McCaskill, while 45 percent support Hawley. Hawley’s slight lead is within the poll’s “credibility interval” of 3 percentage points.
The poll’s results are consistent with other recent polling that has shown a tight race between McCaskill and Hawley, indicating that McCaskill’s vote against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hasn’t hurt her among voters.
The new survey found that 44 percent of likely voters said they were “more likely” to support McCaskill’s candidacy because of her opposition to Kavanaugh, while 46 percent said they were “less likely” to do so” as per The Hill.
It doesn’t take a politician to know that kicking people out, ignoring questions, and treating people miserably is not a smart way to gain new voters.
If anything, videos like this could cost politicians just enough votes to send them home in defeat.
Hawley looks good right now, doesn’t he!
