In Temple times, the high priest normally wore eight garments, four of
which were decorated with gold. But one day a year, on Yom Kippur, he wore only
4 white linen garments. The simplicity of his outfit portrayed his feelings of
humility as he approached God on the holiest day, while the white color was
symbolic of forgiveness. We learn from here that our garments reflect our inner
essence and goals, and that a person should strive to be in constant state of
purity and innocence. A new workbook, "Adina: My Design Sketchbook," makes
dressing modestly fun and empowering for fashion designers of all ages. Using
step-by-step tutorials and encouragement, Adina’s Designs inspire creativity and
self-expression, without compromising on dignity and self-respect.
