FLASHBACK: WH Scrubbed Islamic Expression from Official Transcript for Bowe Bergdahl

Scrubbing "Allah" from the official 911 transcripts for the Orlando terrorist attack isn't a first for the Obama administration. In 2014 when Army deserter Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's father spoke at the White House shortly before his son was traded for five Taliban prisoners held at Guantanamo Bay, he uttered an Islamic praise that is completely missing from the official transcript.
It was in the Rose Garden ceremony for Bergdahl's release when his father, Robert Bergdahl appeared heavily bearded, flanked by his wife and President Obama and said, "I'd like to say to Bowe right now, who is having trouble speaking English: Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim. I'm your father, Bowe."
But here's how it appears at the White House website:
MR. BERGDAHL: I'd like to say to Bowe right now, who is having trouble speaking English -- (speaks in Pashto) -- I'm your father, Bowe.To the people of Afghanistan, the same -- (speaks in Pashto) -- the complicated nature of this recovery was -- will never really be comprehended. To each and every single one who effected this, in this country, in the service branches, at the State Department, throughout the whole of American government, and around the world, international governments around the world, thank you so much. We just can't communicate the words this morning when we heard from the President.
That phrase translates to, “In the name of Allah, the merciful, the compassionate" and it appears at the beginning of every chapter in the Koran save one. Many have commented that what Bergdahl said at the White House claimed it for Islam.
Former CIA officer Clare Lopez said, "By uttering these words on the grounds of the WH, Bergdahl (the father) sanctified the WH and claimed it for Islam. There is no question but POTUS knows this.”
Some even note Obama's smile of recognition as Bergdahl speaks the phrase. Others said it is the war cry of Allah and the Taliban were reportedly "thrilled" upon hearing the declaration, according to Breitbart.
In the week since the terrorist attack in Orlando, the Obama administration decided to release transcripts of the 911 calls made by Omar Mateen as he slaughtered innocent Americans. However, they initially decided to release them heavily redacted of all the times he pledged his allegiance to ISIS. When the White House received pushback for that decision, it was decided to release the full transcripts -- with all references to "Allah" changed to "God."
There's nothing to see here. Move along. What are you, some kind of Islamophobe?
