Jerusalem Inspiration

Today's verse refers to Mordechai from the Book of Esther, hero of the Purim story. We are introduced to Mordechai as a Jew in exile; that was how he defined himself, bereft of his homeland. Just ten years ago, thousands of Jews were evacuated from the area of Gush Katif.  These Jews have yet to fully pick up the pieces of their lives, and remain, to this day, the Gush Katif evacuees. They remember the unique beauty of their homes and mourn their loss. Tina Nagar, a former resident of Gush Katif, took a series of beautiful photos of her garden while living there and crafted them into a one-of-a-kind set of Biblical greeting cards in order to celebrate the treasured memories of her lost home.

Nisanit Through the Garden Gate

Tina and Moshe Nagar created this heart-wrenching video with photos of their beautiful home and garden in the Gush Katif community of Nitsanit before and after its destruction in the Gaza disengagement ten years ago.

Working Towards Moshiach

The world is poised on the brink of cosmic events. Will the coming years bring environment disaster? Catastrophic conflict? World flooding from global warming? Epidemics? Political chaos? This collection of essays discusses the basis for hope and strength in the present chaotic world and demonstrate how we can all participate in the most important activity of our time – working towards the Moshiach (Messiah).
