Hillary Clinton's closet aide, Huma Abedin, is set to be deposed on Tuesday about the presidential candidate and former Secretary of State's homebrewed email server.
Huma Abedin, who worked her way up from White House intern to vice chair of Clinton’s campaign for president, will be questioned under oath by lawyers for lawyers of the conservative group Judicial Watch about her involvement with her boss’ private email system.
The deposition is just one month after Washington DC District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan granted government watchdog group Judicial Watch, the right to interrogate Clinton aides "as part of a Freedom of Information lawsuit to secure emails that should have been open to public review."
Patrick Kennedy, undersecretary for management at the State Department will also be deposed by Judicial Watch attorneys this week.
Last week, IT staffer Bryan Pagliano was deposed by Judicial Watch and plead the Fifth Amendment more than 125+ times. “It was a sad day for government transparency,” a Judicial Watch official said of Pagliano. However, Pagliano has an immunity deal with the government, while Abedin does not.
Will she plead the Fifth in the deposition?
